Participants will be able to apply fatigue management strategies, including identifying and acting upon signs of fatigue and implementing appropriate strategies to minimise fatigue during work activities.

Course Overview

Personal protective equipment (PPE) is equipment worn to protect healthcare workers from exposure to microbiological hazards in the healthcare settings. This course will improve personnel safety in the healthcare environment through appropriate use of PPE.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Provide information on the selection and use of PPE in the healthcare settings.
  • Identify correctly the steps on how to don and remove PPE.
  • Identify the appropriate circumstances for which each type of PPE is indicated.


Hand Hygiene

Course Overview

Hand hygiene is a simple thing and it’s the best way to prevent infection and illness.

In healthcare setting, hand hygiene can prevent potentially fatal infections from spreading from patient to patient and from patient to healthcare worker and vice-versa. This course will provide information and evidence of relationship between hand hygiene and healthcare-associated infections.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Explain the steps involved in effective hand washing.
  • The ability to identify the 5 Moment of Hand Hygiene in practice.
  • Identify the antiseptic effectiveness of Hand Hygiene products.



  • Course Overview

    In 2011, the Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSHA) was extended to cover all workplaces and stakeholders. Under WSHA, all who are responsible for creating work risks must take steps to eliminate or reduce them.

    Course Objective

    At the end of the course, you will be able to:

    • Have a basic understanding of WSHA
    • Identify the types of unsafe acts that are punishable by law
    • Identify the various types of hazards that are present in your workplace and put in place control measures to mitigate these hazards
