Course Overview

The Code Blue Drill Workshop is a 1-day workshop designed for nurses to be proficient in responding to medical emergencies. The 1-day workshop focuses on organized roles, effective skills demonstration and communication during a code blue/medical emergency. Participants are required to complete all the E-learning modules prior to the workshop.

Course Objectives

·         Identify and describe the roles of each personnel during a medical emergency.

·         Demonstrate effective skills as respective responders.

·         Identify lethal cardiac rhythm and discuss their management.

·         Recognize and prepare drugs commonly used during resuscitation.

·         Demonstrate SBAR communication techniques in emergency.
